California Casserole

You could add 1-16 ounce frozen vegetables of your choice
and you would have California One-dish Meal.

|
|
ground beef
|
|
|
1/2 cup
|
|
onion, chopped
|
|
|
1 cup
|
|
celery, diced
|
|
|
1/4 cup
|
|
green pepper, diced
|
|
|
1 cup
|
|
uncooked rice
|
|
|
1
|
|
large can diced tomatoes (16
oz.)
|
|
|
1 cup
|
|
uncooked rice
|
|
|
1/2 cup
|
|
water
|
|
|
2 tsp
|
|
salt
|
|
|
2 tsp
|
|
chili powder
|
|
|
|
|
Pepper to taste
|
|
|
1 Tbs
|
|
Worcestershire sauce
|
|
|
1 cup

|
chopped or sliced black
olives
|
|
|

|
Sauté lean ground beef. Add onion, green pepper and
celery and sauté for about 5 minutes. Add rice and the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Transfer to
a 2-quart casserole dish. Cover and bake at 325° for 45-60 minutes.
