Hamburger Cabbage Casserole

I think this casserole would also be good using any cream
soup (such as cream of chicken) in place of the condensed tomato soup.

1 pound

ground beef
|
|

large onion, chopped (1
cup)
|
|
|
1/2 cup
|
|
uncooked instant rice
|
|
|
1/2 teaspoon
|
|
salt
|
|
|
1/2 teaspoon
|
|
pepper
|

|

can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed tomato
soup
|
|
|
1/4 cup
|
|
water
|
|
|
4 cups
|
|
coleslaw mix or shredded
cabbage
|

|

Heat oven to 400°
|
|

Cook beef and onion in 10-inch skillet over medium
heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spoon
into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Cover and bake 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
